Pushpa: The Rise(Telugu) MILD SPOILER REVIEW

A mass entertainer directed by Sukumar, starring Allu Arjun , Rashmika Mandanna , Jagadish and Fahadh Faasil (I had no ideaaaaa..more on this in the review) and many such amazing actors.

So, I saw a notification on Amazon Prime  today that PUSHPA movie is now available to watch and I was like..yeah why not.

Coming straight to the review, I loved it. It has everything that one entertaining action packed larger than life "Hero" material, "South ka tadka" movie should have.

Allu Arjun(in a never seen before character) as "Pushpa" nails it to be that protagonist who will lead you to this Dhamakedaar joy ride where you see his journey from a homeless hobo-ish Pushpa to the Kingpin Pushpa Raju.
He has brought in some freshness to the role by mastering the body language, character traits, developing habits of the character he is playing through out the movie. The consistency is impeccable.

Rashmika Mandanna brings in the love interest of Pushpa in a very non glamorous avatar and delivers excellence in her potrayal of her role.

Coming to the technicalities, entire movie is a visual treat from frame one. "Pushpa" is available to watch in 3D in theatres and I would say it is totally worth it. The outdoor shots are breathtaking, be it a forest, waterfall or a village. Talking about indoor shots lightings are so masterfully used.

Few weak points are minor loopholes in the story where something happens just like that to progress the story however nothing takes away from it in any case.

Lastly, to my surprise, Fahadh Faasil enters in the 3rd act and steals the show. My jaw dropped as I did not expect him to be in this movie AT ALL. Looking forward to see more of him in the sequel.

Over all, if you are a fan of realistic, artsy cinema only, then you will not like Pushpa. But if you like all kinds of movies and would sit back and enjoy a true Masala, Action Entertainment, A true "Hero" wali movie, then PUSHPA is a must watch for you.
